Russo and Steele has a Vendetta
This one of a kind, Radical Custom will be offered in Scottsdale, Arizona this January 18-22, 2012
Scottsdale, Arizona (October 27, 2011) –Nearly 9,000 man hours, thirteen different vehicles, and one boat have combined and resulted in a serious Vendetta for Russo and Steele. Although this vendetta does not include a prolonged feud or conflict of any kind, it will certainly invade Russo and Steele’s 12th Annual Scottsdale Auction with a vengeance.
So, what kind of vendetta are we talking about here? Tom Stephen and Nissen’s Hot Rod Garage present to you, Project: “Vendetta”. Vendetta is by far one of the most radical pickup trucks to be seen in quite some time. Nearly 9,000 hours of blood, sweat, and tears have been invested in this project. With parts from thirteen different makes of vehicles and one boat that were utilized in its construction, Vendetta is guaranteed to have something for everyone to enjoy.
This 1948 Ford F-1 Pickup’s features include a chopped, channeled, and sectioned 37 LaSelle front end, which contains a handmade stainless grille and surround. The rear fenders are a second set of LaSelle fenders that have been pie sectioned. A 47 Mercury passenger car windshield and cowl were also used. If you’re an enthusiast who is warming up to Vendetta while reading this description, get cozy! Featured in this truly radical pickup is a hand built bed with custom bed flooring containing quilted Maple and Beachwood Burlwood. Vendetta has a full tube chassis with I.F.S, I.R.S., 4 wheel disc brakes, Blown E.F.I. 406 C.I.D. FE Ford with AOD transmission, 1965 Ford 427 factory cast iron header manifolds, and dual mandrel bent exhaust containing Flowmaster Mufflers.
Legendary car show promoter, Blackie Gejeian, was quoted as saying, “The craftsmanship on this truck is insane, and it’s just out of this world. This is one of the top trucks built anywhere recently.” In addition to the thousands of hours, thirteen vehicles, and one boat that went into Vendetta’s construction, the 1948 Ford F-1 Pickup is quite the award winner as well. Although the pickup does not feature a custom built display case, the titles awarded to Vendetta are something almost any enthusiast would flaunt, and are certainly worthy of praise and recognition.
Vendetta is a multiple award winner, including the Sam Barris Memorial Award and the Dick Bertolucci Award of Excellence.
