THOMAS SCOTT COLLECTION – Vehicle to be offered for Auction sale WITHOUT RESERVE and SOLD to the highest bidder August 13 – 15, 2015 at Russo and Steele’s 15th Annual Monterey, California Auction. Please contact us for more information.
Muscle cars were reaching their zenith around 1969, and the revised lineup from Dodge was no exception. Being offered is one of the rarest Mopar muscle cars from the era — one of only 203 R/T convertibles built in 1969, and the only red on red power window car known to exist.
Clad in Scorch Red, this 1969 Dodge Coronet 440 RT Convertible is very highly optioned and retains its original numbers-matching 375 HP 440 cubic-inch big block V8. Options include body sill and belt moldings, rare quarter air scoops, fender-mounted turn signal indicators, power steering, power brakes, very rare power windows, power top, three-speed wipers and bucket seats with arm rests. A heavy duty TorqueFlite 727 handles the big block power easily.
Well-executed inside and out with an eye for detail and correctness, down to the red line Coker Classic bias play tires on 14-inch rally wheels.
A very rare example from the classic muscle car era that would be a welcome addition to any collection.
One of 12 cars offered from the Tom Scott collection.
