Produced by Coach Design Group of Westlake Village, California, number 34 of a total planned production run of 200. Starting with a fully loaded new Seville, Coach Design Group modified the standard sedan into a 4-passenger convertible with the same overall proportions as the Seville sedan. The San Remo convertible was reviewed shortly after its introduction in an article by Dennis Adler in Car Classics magazine, January, 1979. Adler wrote: “The San Remo approaches the elegance of Rolls Royce…and will capture the whims and pocketbooks of a select well-to-do group”
This car has standard Seville running gear (350 cu. in. fuel injected V-8), power windows, seats, top, and antenna, cruise control, digital dash with trip computer, and correct Seville wire wheels for 1979. Originally sold through select Cadillac dealers with a sticker price of $46,000.
