*Description by Master Mechanic Jaan Hjorth:

“Here’s a Flavia PF coupe that has recently been resurrected.

The owner has an enthusiasm for Lancias & found this example in dry southern California. It is a  rust free example. An extensive program was enacted that saw most aspects of this Flavia massaged at one time or another by my own hand.

The engine was brought back to life and did not require rebuilding.

Carburettor, ignition, water pump, generator, regulator, clutch,

It now starts & runs beautifully.

Always a challenge on the Flavia, the recalcitrant brake system has been gone through including the booster unit & callipers.  No small task I might add, & one you would rather someone else paid for.

The car was then sent out to a Local Italian only painting shop & put back to life with extensive preparation work & good paint.

On reassembly the lights & electrical bits were looked after.

This is a hard to find  example of one of Lancia’s fine cars before being bought out by the Fiat empire. Not as heavy as the Flaminia, nor as light as a Fulvia, it was the car of choice for affluent businessmen commuting in style. Very narrow in person, & easily navigated through small Italian hill towns, or a delight on the autostrada.

For years I drove one myself as a daily driver & recommend them highly.â€￾
