This genuine V Code 440 SIX PACK 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T also features the ultimate expression of performance luxury, the ‘SE’ Special Edition package. This SIX PACK R/T SE is rare by any measure with just 296 examples equipped as such. Of those, it is 1 of 161 equipped with the race-bred 727 Torqueflite automatic. It is powered by a date code correct, V-Code 440 HP engine block and the original VIN stamped transmission. The documentation is outstanding, the pedigree complete with its original factory Broadcast Sheet and Fender Tag decoded by Galen Govier’s GTS. This R/T SE 440 SIX PACK is also filed in the Chrysler Registry as car number 10 of 48 known left to exist as of March, 2002.
It is finished in a color combination that absolutely celebrates the Muscle Car Era, Burnt Orange Metallic over Burnt Orange leather interior, offset by a black vinyl top and black Rallye Hood and black ‘Bumble Bee’ stripe. The overall effect is the epitome of high performance, sporting luxury, and stunning beauty. In addition to the code FK5 paint and code HRK4 interior, the options are many:
A36 Performance Axle Package
A62 Rallye Instrument Cluster
B51 Power Disc Brakes
C16 Woodgrain Console
C26 Overhead Consolette
C62 6-way adjustable bucket seats
G31 Outside Chromed Mirror
G33 Left Mirror Remote, Chromed
R22 AM Radio/Stereo 8-Track Player
S77 Power Steering
An open-checkbook rotisserie restoration completed in 2002 and it remains in excellent condition. All the keys to collectability are here. This is an exceptionally rare, highly equipped, and well-documented R/T, SE 440 SIX PACK Dodge Challenger. This is a fine example of one of the most collectible and iconic Mopar high-performance cars from 1970. An incredible offering at No Reserve, this 440 SIX PACK Challenger R/T SE certainly “ticks all the boxes.”
