One of the first and finest products of the 1968 merger between Citroen and Maserati, the SM debuted for 1970 and combined the technology of the sophisticated and long-running Citroen DS with a powerful Maserati V-6 engine to create one of the most-attractive and best-performing coupes of the early 1970s. This example from 1972 is a rust-free California car with sorted mechanicals, including an engine rebuild performed in 2007 with strong compression and limited use ever since. Benefiting from 30 years of single prior ownership, this SM is a very rare and highly regarded French classic with 86,000 original miles, accompanied by complete service history and documents from 1975 to the present. Featuring a brilliant blue exterior and supple brown leather interior, this SM starts, runs, stops, and drives very well.
