This 1964 Lincoln continental Convertible was purchased at an auction for the 9/11 victims in 2002. It was found in a barn in the Midwest. It was in great shape with no rust. The most recognized feature of this design was the rear hinged “suicide doors” last seen in the 1951 Lincoln. The 1964 model was updated from previous models to improve interior room. The wheelbase was extended three inches, both to improve rear-seat room and to improve the ride. Body was all repainted, new white convertible top, all new tan leather upholstery, all rewired, disc brakes were added because of vehicle weight. Original wheels with 2 inch white-wall radial tires. Original engine was rebuilt. All original metal and emblems.
