This 1974 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser received a professional frame-off rotisserie restoration recently. Everything was replaced with new genuine Toyota parts when available, or completely refurbished to new condition. Great care was taken to preserve or recreate the factory paint marks and part labels. No expense was spared. It has been driven less than 500 miles since restoration. No detail was overlooked all the way down to the factory Toyota tool bag and emergency light.
It was primarily put back to the factory specifications, but with all the luxurious upgrades to make it an enjoyable daily driver: 4-wheel power disc brakes, Saginaw power steering, air conditioning completely rebuilt, high performance Man a Fre 2F motor with forged high compression pistons, tuned headers, and high performance ignition system and Weber carb. This FJ40 absolutely delivers the maximum in torque power and fuel economy. Sure to be the most powerful, best running and driving FJ40 out there, it comes with 4 lift kit with all new springs, shackles, bushings, bolts and shocks for a dramatically improved steering control and ride. The stock wheels were refinished and powder coated with new 33 tires.
The transmission transfer case and axles were meticulously rebuilt, receiving new bearings and seals throughout. The body retains the original sheet metal and floors. It was completely stripped to bare metal, epoxy primed and finished on a rotisserie using high quality PPG paint in the original Toyota Freeborn red color, and fitted with black interior. All of the rubber components were replaced during reassembly, and with the exception of the wing and corner window, all new tempered glass was installed. The original steering wheel was completely refurbished back to its new condition. The same care and attention was given to the underside of the vehicle. The frame, axle housings, all of the chassis and steering components, as well as the bumpers were powder coated in their original colors. Everything on this Land Cruiser looks and works like the day it was new.
