This original rare 1967 Cougar GT-390 XR-7, is a beautifully restored piece of history. Unique sequential rear tail lights. It is a first year Cougar production, Motor Trend Car of the year 1967. Built in the Dearborn Michigan Plant. Featuring a 390 4V V-8 GT engine, S-code, factory dual exhaust, C-6 Select-shift Merc-O-Matic transmission, factory Inverness Green paint in base clear, factory black leather interior, center console with factory clock, original wood grain steering wheel, factory AC- Whisperaire, factory power steering, factory 3.25 limited slip axle ratio, factory style steel wheels, original GT equipment group, 65 B Cougar XR-7 option.

This Cougar presents very well in a unique shade of green and is one of only 2653 GT’s built out of a total production run of 150,893 Cougars built in 1967. Powered by the 390 CI V-8 engine with an automatic transmission, it’s fed by a factory 4-barrel Holley carburetor and breathes through a dual exhaust system that sends a sweet note letting others know this car bites well. This car is equipped with power brakes with front discs and power steering, with comfortable interior, making this car a luxurious ride. The Cougar was produced with a healthy dose of performance blended with a large slice of accommodation. The Cougar chassis platform boasts a longer wheel base and interior space than a Mustang, providing for a more comfortable ride. This GT has a very smart, period-correct black leather interior and is equipped with bucket seats and center console with rare clock, as well as the original wood grain steering wheel. All things considered this Cougar GT is a rare and unique example of a great American muscle car. See Marti report.
