Vehicle to be offered for Auction sale June 2nd – 4th, 2017 at Russo and Steele’s 5th Annual Newport Beach, California Auction. Please contact us for more information. This car is the true, worthy successor to the Porsche 964 with noticeable styling and technical novelties. The Porsche 993 is the grand slam of the 911 models built between 1993 and 1998. These Porsches are widely considered the most advanced and the last of the true 911’s, since the 993 would be the last air-cooled Porsche produced. A few of the exterior design changes were noticed on the front and rear bumpers which flowed much smoother with the 911’s lines, along with the front fenders lights and the lights in the rear bumper were changed. The Porsche 993 is the peak in the evolutionary progression of the original 1964 911 design. Examples of this are the five-bezel instrument panel, horizontally-opposed six-cylinder engine behind the operator and floor-mounted pedals that gave the driver the sensation of the original 911 in every sense. Porsche made many different variants of the 993; however the Carrera 2S is very distinct for many reasons and is considered one of the most sought after 993’s. One of the contributing factors is they are extremely rare, since they were only produced from 1997 to 1998. The ‘S’ variant meant that it shared the same factory Wide-Body as the Turbo variant. Both the Turbo and 4S are all-wheel-drive, while the 2S is rear-wheel drive, which is actually preferred and enjoyed more by Porsche drivers. Another positive in that is the maintenance costs is much less than that of a Turbo. PORSCHE CARRERA S OFFERED This 2-OWNER car has been a Florida|California car all of its life. The 1st owner Purchased in 1998 resided in Florida. The 2nd owner and long time Porsche Club of America member purchased the car in 2001 and at the time had a business in Oregon but resided in Orange County, California. The 911 S never visited or resided in Oregon. During his 16 years of ownership, the car was garaged, well-cared-for, enjoyed and well maintained. This Porsche Carrera 2S is lightly equipped like most motorsports fans prefer and presented in the most desirable color combination Black paint over Black hides. The exterior is also fitted with 18-inch turbo twist wheels, colored crest, AM/FM tape deck radio, Sunroof and Automatic Speed Control.Included in the sale is books, tools, jack, records, radio sleeve and first aid kit. The Carrera 2S is the ultimate choice when considering a 993, but with limited 1,752 U.S. versions produced, many owners hold onto them so they are rarely seen for sale. Limited ownership and increasing collectability make this a one-of-a-kind Porsche most worthy of your attention.
