It was near silence when the Ferrari Testarossa was introduced in 1984 at the Paris auto show, everybody wanted one. Today the Testarossa remains an impressive car with a large following, The Pininfarina design is timeless and still turns heads where ever seen. In addition to its luxurious features and award winning design the performance provided by the 4.9 liter 180 degree 12 cylinder engine delivering 380 horsepower sets it aside from other classics built during this period. The rear mid engine rear wheel drive keeps the center of gravity in the middle increasing stability and improved cornering making it an ideal for the serious collector who enjoys both style and the thrill of the driving experience. The Testarosa can accelerate from 0-100 kilometres per hour (62 mph) in 5.2 seconds and on to 161 km/h (100 mph) in 11.40 seconds. The maximum speed of the Testarosa is 290 kilometres per hour (180 mph). The 64MM (2.5 in) to 2,550MM (100 in) wheelbase is designed to accommodate luggage in a carpeted storage space. The side strakes have been copied by a number of other auto makers over the years but none can compete with the enhanced beauty of the original.
This low-mileage European Testarossa from 1988 features factory-installed Trepezzo-type wheels, a very good exterior, and a good interior with seats to match. It is California-registered for 2013/2014 and recently smog-tested, with all service records available, including the 30,000-mile engine-out service. This car has won several Best of Show awards and attracts a lot of attention wherever it goes, standing ready to deliver an incredible experience with an amazing soundtrack from its race-bred, mid-mounted flat-12 engine.
